Aims
We aim to have an atmosphere of respect and friendship for each other. In particular, we aim to treat every employee equally, regardless of their age, disability, gender or sexual orientation, race, religion or belief.
Inclusion and respect
Every Now Communications employee should be made to feel equally welcome and included. Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise offensive and inflammatory remarks or behaviour are not acceptable. These constitute harassment and have no place in our organisation.
Dealing with discrimination and harassment
If any employee feels they have been discriminated against or harassed at work they should raise this with the directors of the organisation.
The directors will investigate the complaint thoroughly, listening to all parties involved. [If the complaint is against a director, that director will not be part of conducting the investigation.] They will provide the opportunity for the person making the complaint to speak in a safe environment about their experience.
If the complaint is against a particular individual, this person will have the opportunity to express their point of view.
If the complaint is against the organisation as a whole, the directors will work to ensure that such discrimination or harassment is not repeated in the future, and will inform the employees of how they propose to do this.
If required, the complaint will be heard by an impartial, independent third party.
A decision to exclude a person from the organisation due to discriminatory or harassing behaviour may be made at the discretion of the directors of the organisation.
The organisation will support employees who feel they have been harassed or discriminated against, and will not victimise or treat them less well because they have raised this.
