Creative people can’t help it.

They come up with awesome ideas everywhere šŸ™‚

It’s OK. We get it. You wanted some ā€œme timeā€ this summer, so you high tailed it to the beach, the mountains, the family or whatever, because day-in-day out, 24/7, you can’t help thinking about the business and how you can make business better (and in your heart, you know that can’t be good).

Now you’re a few days into a vacation, and no matter how hard you try, these great ideas just keep coming :). How annoying is that :).

Here’s a tip

Just let it happen. Take a note. Send a memo. Set horizon goals. Find a way to bookmark the awesome ideas you have while you’re hiking, biking, visiting new places or on the beach. These ideas are priceless. Next quarter, these ideas will make your business so much better. Capture them.

Enjoy a well-deserved summer break, take a moment to reflect: appreciate the scale of the journey you’ve been on. August is your time to recharge, relax, and savour the down time. But deep down, you now it’s true, there’s this spark within you, an excitement bubbling up, ready to ignite your passion once September rolls around.

Sure, as a marketing professional working on the day-to-day, you have KPI’s, goals, objectives, yada yada, blah, blah, blah; but you’re a creative force, a strategist, a visionary.

This month is your time to refresh and rejuvenate. Next month it’s time to dive back back in. So dive back this September. But do it with fresh thinking. When business gets back to normal, don’t pick up where you left off. Do the abnormal. Hold on to the ideas you have now.

Don’t dismiss them, just because they weren’t hatched in the boardroom.

#Agilemarketing

go agile this Autumn!

We’ve thought long and hard to work out what #agilemarketing means for us, but what really matters to our clients is what it means for them. Here’s how we do things:

Super collaboration:

Hybrid working has changed the game for all of us.

It’s awesome to see our clients in the flesh again, but the day-to-day working practices we’ve all adopted since 2020 have dramatically improved how our agency collaborates together and with clients. We’re not going back.

People in our agency today are woven together with clients. Goals, objectives and responsibilities are clearer. Blockers are solved with quick flash meetings. Updates and status reports are replaced with living plans and simple messages over Trello or Slack or… well, whatever collaborative tool makes most sense. The businesses we work with today don’t think of us as ā€œthe agencyā€. We work together, as one team where no one is more than a click away.

All on the same team:

Deeper teaming across the client and agency makes it much easier to find winning formations.

There’s no duplication or redundancy when everyone is a co-worker within one client/agency team.

Like any full-stack agency, we’re well equipped and ready to execute marketing end-to-end. But it’s only the smaller SMEs and start-ups that really need theā€œmarketing department in a boxā€ approach. Most companies come pre-loaded with a range of great experts and skills. Deeper teaming means we’re able to work and collaborate much more effectively with client side team members.

Think our agile marketing style might be right for you?

If you’re like us, if looking ahead has never been so exciting and you honestly want to #keepitreal in 2024, we’d love to talk. Try things out with a 5-10 day marketing Hackpack, or go epic with our agile marketing Stack.
