Learning Technologies Exit Poll: Is your business in the bag?

Share/Save/Bookmark

It's not the most scientific survey we've ever produced, but compiling the knee jerk reactions from learning execs fresh from the hunt at London's Learning Technologies show this January was the kind of sporting fun that Now's eager team of research hounds found just too hard to resist.

Kitted out with winter fleece and trusty clipboard, Now's intelligence team spent the best part of yesterday afternoon polling opinion from training procurers as they exited Olympia and made haste for the tube home: did they get what they went in for? Did they discover any unexpected jewels while rambling the Learning Technology trail? Whose case studies and brochures are in the show bag they're lugging on their shoulder and what is their most likely reading material for the tube ride home?

After what's undoubtedly been an exceptionally hard week of show and tell for most exhibitors, we invite you to put your feet up, review the findings and (should strength permit) make your own comments too.

Used to be that a visit to the annual trade show event came with a plethora of executive toys, handy desk gadgets and any other freebie that us marketing types could dream up, but things have changed in these austere times.

In terms of sweetening up the marketing message, Delta Net's Pick 'n' Mix stall undoubtedly helped visitors understand the modular approach of the company's business model. Premier IT''s branded puzzles look set to grace the desktops in countless HR departments for the next while and Saffron's USB stick (pre-loaded with the company's publicity portfolio) were certainly top of the list for the eco-sensitive visitor this year.
